Chicago, IL—December 10, 2014—Coyote, one of the fastest-growing third-party logistics (3PL) service providers in the industry, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 recertification, an internationally recognized quality management standard. An ISO 9001 certificate proves that Coyote’s quality management system has been certified against a best practice standard and found compliant. Coyote was awarded its recertification from Det Norske Veritas (DNV) Business Assurance, a leading global provider of accredited management systems certification.
“Coyote has an unwavering commitment to serve customers and carriers by having the best people and technology in the industry,” said Jessie Halton, Coyote’s IT governance lead. “This recertification shows Coyote’s dedication to continually improve our business practices and services; uphold our commitment to quality; and maintain a work atmosphere that encourages personal growth, employee satisfaction, and innovation.”
In 2011 Coyote implemented an ISO-compliant quality management system that established a systematic approach to managing Coyote’s 3PL operations, and now, in 2014, that quality management system has been recertified as compliant with the ISO standards. DNV Business Assurance performed an audit that focused on Coyote’s proprietary freight management system; HR and training; customer sales and operations; carrier sales; enterprise sales; IT support, and pricing; driver services; issue resolution; accounting; and compliance.
“This recertification demonstrates our commitment to continuously improve Coyote’s quality systems to ensure the highest level of customer service,” said Jim Sharman, Coyote’s chief operating officer. “This is part of our comprehensive strategy to ensure quality, and our recertification of ISO validates that our processes are effective.”
